Former Commissioner of Health, Plateau State, Dr. Patrick Dakum said Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has laid a solid infrastructural and security architecture which has laid an economic blue print for Plateau project in 2023.
Dr. Dakum, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria disclosed this yesterday while briefing Journalists in Jos said Lalong has developed the most competent blue print that will bring develompent across the 17 Local Government Areas of the State.
“Governor Simon Lalong was elected in 2015 based on the moral principles of Plateau Project irrespective of Party, tribe and Religious affiliation, and Lalong administration has developed a competent blue print which has the potential as the best platform for the Plateau Project to be consolidated on in 2023”.
Dakum, who is also an Assistant Professor in the department of epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at the University of Maryland, school of Medicine USA, said Lalong is working for the prosperity of Plateau people.
He noted that the three point policy thrust of the Lalong’s administration which anchored on Peace, Security, and good governance; Physical Infrastructural Development, and
Sustainable Economic Re-birth has laid a good foundation as the best platform for Plateau Project.
Dakum said the blue print will identify Areas of economic growth while looking at areas that will generate revenue for the State such as tourism, Mineral development and Agriculture.
He disclosed that Plateau people are ready and expecting to see the consolidation of the greater Plateau come 2023, saying whoever come after Lalong will have to build on the blue print which is now the foundation for Plateau Project.
The Medical expert commended the APC administration in the state for putting effort toward bringing out the Uniqueness of Plateau in Agriculture, tourism and culture.
