Lalong fulfilling electioneering promises – Plateau commissioner

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Plateau State, Hon Dayyabu Garga on Wednesday said  Governor Simon Lalong  is doing a good job, adding that he is making sure his campaign promises are fulfilled.

He also said  that Lalong has proven that  he is a truthful,trustworthy and passionate leader by his  show of interest for  the yearnings of the citizenry.

Garga  also said the approval by the Governor for the creation, upgrading and restoration of  more Chiefdoms,  wouldn’t have come at a better time than now that the state is fast regaining its lost glories .

A statement made available to newsmen  by the commissioner  in Jos reads that the  reversal of the  upgrading and restoration of Chiefdoms  by the immediate past administration was not done in the interest of majority of  citizens of the state as it had already being gazetted.

He said he remembered with nostalgia the reactions and feelings that greated   the then unpopular decision saying Governor Lalong has now put smiles on the faces of Plateau citizens with this decision.

Garga according to the statement called on the recently created,upgraded and restored chiefdoms to clearly demonstrate the will to carry everyone along while ensuring that peace abides in their communities.

” since the people had earnestly waited for the fulfilment of this promise during the Governors inaugural speech on May 29th 2015,this has come as another of Governor Lalongs uncommon desire for a peaceful and harmonious Plateau and called on citizens to rally round him to deliver more on his promises.”
