A Social Political group operating under the aegis of Plateau Regeneration Group has commended Governor Simon Lalong for his good governance in the state, stressing that he has not failed Plateau people since his assumption of office as governor of the state. They also said that Gov Lalong deserves a second term in office .
The group in a statement jointly signed by Nagelu Garba, it’s National President and Pius Hoomen, National Secretary and made available to newsmen in Jos at the weekend also hailed the Lalong led administration for initiating series of dialogue session at various level to foster peaceful coexistence in the state.
“We commend the people of Plateau State, and Governor Simon Lalong, for maintaining peace in the state during and after the clash with respect to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Jos North Local Government Area and environs recently . “The step the Governor took, which was the declaration of curfew in the affected area, saved lives and properties and it further goes to show that the Governor is in tune with the issues of the state.
“As a group we say Plateau is still the most peaceful state in the country, and we commend our governor for his efforts in carrying all tribes along in governance .” “They also commended the governor for sustaining peace in the state, Part of the statement reads:“We commend our Governor for his efforts at restoring peace in Plateau and for carrying along all tribes along in governance since assumption of office. “The Rescue Government in Plateau is working with a clear vision and objectives of securing a legacy of peace. “We commend our governor for completing some projects he inherited from the previous administration and for the prompt payment of workers’ salaries and his efforts at reviving moribund companies in the state. The group also commended the Director of Press and Public affairs to the governor Emmanuel Nanle for his cordial working relationship with the media in the state .
