The Plateau State government at the weekend blamed the return of commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada on the streets of Jos and Bukuru metropolis on what it called weakness on the part of the Jang administration to enforce the law banning them.

Governor Simon Bako Lalong, in a statement issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Samuel Emmanuel Nanle, however, maintained that machineries will be put in place to ensure that the streets are rid of motorcyclists.

“The return of motorcycles popularly known as Okada is a clear manifestation of weakness of enforcement by the last administration, which in four years could not enforce a law it passed”, the statement reads in part.
