News reaching ViewPointNigeria suggests that Mr Jeptha Jacken, an Erstwhile newscaster and director at the Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTVC), has been appointed its substantive General Manager by Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong.

In a statement released to newsmen by the Director Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Nanle – it read “The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has approved the appointment of Mr. Jeptha Jackden as the General Manager of the Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTVC) with immediate effect”.

“The Governor wishes to thank Ms Ann Samchi the Acting General Manager of Plateau Radio Television Corporation for holding forth during the period preceding this appointment and wishes her well as she continuous with her responsibility as a substantive Director in the Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTVC)”.

Similarly, the Executive Governor has also approved the appointment of Mr Mark Longyen as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media to the Governor. ViewPointNigeria’s investigation learnt that Mr. Longyen had years of Private Media practice in Jos and the Middle-belt and until his appointment was a Staff of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

In closing, the governor expressed optimism that the injection of these new crop of media practitioners, should facilitate effective information dissemination, which would serve the best interest of Plateau.
