KANAM SUSPENSION SAGA. COUNCIL CHAIRMAN URGES CITIZENS TO REMAIN CALM AND PEACEFUL.

Following the shocking News of his suspension by the Plateau State House of Assembly yesterday Tuesday 30th July, 2020, Hon. Wokdung Adamu Abbas (A.K.A Alias Makwakass) has called on the peace loving people of the Council to remain calm and peaceful.

The Council Boss said even though yet to be served officially with the suspension later, however accepted the news in good faith but equally not pleased with the decision of the House of Assembly, which led to his unfortunate suspension.

Recalled that the Honourable Members of the State Assembly suspended the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council on the ground that the Chairman had sometimes last year allegedly suspended and withheld the salaries and allowances of five Councillors in the Council.

To put the matter straight and clear, the Chairman is hereby disputing the allegations which the house rely upon to slam him with a three months suspension.

The Chairman appreciated the Hon House Members by intervening in the Legislative squabble of Kanam LGA but however advised not to dives in to the Political Affairs of Kanam Local Government which has been in place for decades.

While appreciating the role of different stakeholders in mitigating the Kanam Legislative squabble, the Chairman also wish to extend his appreciation to his Royal Highness, the Emir of Kanam, Alh Mohammadu Babangida Muazu || and other critical Stakeholders in Kanam and beyond.

The Chairman described the Kanam Legislative squabble as purely internal Affairs of the Legislature and was not in any way interested in it.

As a responsible Government, the Chairman didn’t Acted as allegedly perceived by the Hon Members of the House but was rather cautious and careful not to be dragged in to matters that doesn’t concern the executive.

Hon Wokdung is therefore urging the peace loving people of the Council to once again remain calm, peaceful and cooperate with the Loyal Deputy who is now Acting as the Chief Executive of the Council.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Chairman wish to make it categorically clear that all the suspended five Councillors had since been paid their salaries and allowances since November 2019.

Long live Kanam LGA
Long live Plateau State.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
