KABONG YOUTH CENTRAL FORUM ELECTS NEW LEADERS

Residents of Kabong Central in Jos North LGA of Plateau State trooped out en masse on Saturday December 17,2022 to elect youth leaders to oversee the affairs of the community.

The election which took place at RCM Primary School Kabong Jos had voters stormed and occupied the premises as early as 7am ready to exercise their franchise .

The chairman of the Electoral Committee, Comrade Ambrose Mathew Dung who briefed newsmen said the election is one of its kinds because they made use of due standard of conducting elections where they had the election materials both sensitive and non sensitive well obtained and manufactured blending with the befitting organization and coordination of security personnel and agents with details of eligible voters well documented and pasted on the wall for easy accessibility.

“We have 1378 ballot papers printed with 18 contestants of various positions and several ballot boxes stationed. I’m currently happy with the way the election is going on, very okay and I must add that we are faced with some challenges,but to the glory of God,we are going to pass and cross the rubicon” – Comrade Dung added

Innocent Gambo,after voting expressed confidence on the manner and conduct of the election and praised the efforts of the electoral committee for putting together a fantastic exercise.

“I am truly happy with the election because the process is free ,fair,transparent and credible which calls for the salutation and commendation of the electoral committee for a great job and added that a new dawn will be obtained because passionate leaders to champion developmental courses will emerge”- Gambo added

According to other electorate and agents , it’s a moment of joy and happiness because the community will experience a turnaround and greater heights.

For the position of YOUTH LEADER,Comrade Sylvanus Boniface polled 456 votes to beat Comrade Emmanuel Ajik and Chuhwak Dungs who polled 164 and 157 votes respectively. Lawrence Jang polled 520 votes to beat Stephen Sunday (258 votes) to emerged as ASSISTANT YOUTH LEADER. Reinhard Bulus Bala polled emerged DIRECTOR OF SOCIALS with the total votes of 415 against his closet rival,Josiah Bitrus who polled 273 votes.

Other contestants of various positions returned elected as there were no opposition and having met the required condition of the constitution of the association,all were declared winners after vote casting.
