ViewPointNigeria’s correspondent reports that the Vice Chancellor was suspended because of “inappropriate conduct” –which has stemmed from several months of internal wrangling within the institution.

A statement from the office of the Secretary to the State Government on Thursday, stated that with immediate effect, the Vice Chancellor was suspended, asking him to handover to the most senior officer in the institution.

It would be recalled that the VC had disagreements with several members of the university board with regards several issues ranging from funding to appointments –leading to an intervention by the State Government.
