“Our skill development is basically to produced skill workers for industries and companies in the country. So we are into trainings to generate employable Nigerians for Nigeria.

According to her, “Job creation goes beyond graduating from the University, it involved possessing relevant skills for our industries to employ.

“There could be job vacancies in some sector of the country’s economy, but do we have relevant skills in the labour market? She asked.

“Our mandate to train 2 million skill workers annually also includes training our graduates on special skill for various sectors of the nation, we will train some with skills required by the Agric, health, ICT sectors and so on.

The Director General maintained that, “This is one of the ways to reduce unemployment in the country, we will provide training opportunity to unemployed graduates for them to get jobs within and outside the country.

“ITF can only beat its chest if we produce relevant skills to fit into available vacancies in the system, that is the best way to facilitate and sustain the industrialization of the nation. She stressed.
