News at ViewPointNigeria’s Desk indicates that the Plateau State Branch of the Nigerian League of Journalists has called on the Federal Government to adopt a template, whereby 80 percent of money realized through the whistle-blowing policy and corrupt politicians are channeled into agriculture, health, education, tourism and revitalization of moribund, but viable industries in the country.

According to the League, this, if properly implemented, will reduce strikes, protests, youth unemployment and take the nation out of the present economic recession.

On the recent action by President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, David Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mr. Wole Oke, the League viewed it as commendable but, advised the President to beam searchlight on all the sectors to stamp out corruption in all ramifications.
In a statement by its chairman, Dr. Gideon Barde and the Secretary, Chief Tunde Oladapo, the League equally applauded the bold step adopted by Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong to revolutionise agriculture, tourism and ailing industry in the state.
