Following recent successes by security operatives in its efforts to stem the activities of insurgents in the North-Eastern part of the country, over 1,000 youths under the aegis of United Nigerians Against Terrorism in Jos the Plateau State Capital staged a stand up rally praising the gallantry of the security agents and President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Youths who stormed the Plateau State House of Assembly premises as early as 9am Tuesday, called on citizens of the State to support President Goodluck Jonathan and the Nigeria Military in their efforts to stop the activities of Boko Haram.

The Youths who stormed the Plateau State House of Assembly premises as early as 9am Tuesday, called on citizens of the State to support President Goodluck Jonathan and the Nigeria Military in their efforts to stop the activities of Boko Haram.
Addressing the media, Barrister Redzie Jugo, commended President Goodluck Jonathan for motivating the Nigerian military to be more committed to the fight against insurgents.
Jugo said, “The President facilitated the recovery of some towns that had fallen under the control of Boko Haram.
He called on the people of the State to continue to support security operatives and Mr. President as the election approaches.
Also speaking, Programme Manager of Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme (NSRP), Comrade Gad Shamaki, said, “Stability would soon return to the North East”.
He called on the security agents to continue to support democracy and work hard to ensure that all Nigerian territories are recovered and the abducted Chibok girls brought back home safely.
Responding the Commander of the Special Task Force (STF), responsible for the maintenance of peace in Plateau State, Major General David Enetie, thanked the youths for their support.
The STF Commander who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mohammed Majagi, praised President Goodluck Jonathan for funding the Military, which he said has led to the recent successes recorded in the fight against terrorism.
“We in the Military would continue to do our best to protect the country and we would not fail Nigerians”, He added.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Titus Alams in his speech said, “President Jonathan has done well in funding the military and in transformation of the nation”.
Alams urged citizens to support the Federal Government efforts in fighting Boko Haram.
