Insecurity: Gunmen kills seven persons in fresh Plateau attacks.

Seven persons have been killed in four separate attacks by gunmen in Plateau State.

It was gathered that while four young men were shot dead in an ambush by gunmen in Adu village one was in miango town all in Bassa Local Government area. Two other persons were shot dead by gunmen in His North and Mangu Local Government areas respectively.

A youth leader Moses Gata and an ex-spokesman for the Miango Youth Development Association in the council area the killing.

“They said the latest attack in the communities underscored the growing insecurity in the council area, which they said had witnessed attacks by gunmen in recent weeks, with no fewer than 15 persons killed and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

Moses said, in was around 9:30pm on Sunday that four friends were riding a motorcycle were ambushed and shot dead by gunmen in Adu community.

Three of them died on the spot from bullet wounds while the fourth one later died in Enos hospital, Miango when where he was rushed to.

Soldiers and police were at the scene of the the attack the next morning. It was their vehicle that was used to convey the corpse to the burial ground along Miango-Vom road.

About an hour after the ambush in Adu village, gunmen broke into the house of one Abdullahi Yusuf in Miango and shot him dead. That is the terrible situation our people have found themselves.

On the killing in His North it was gathered that a miner identify as Ali Shekara was shot dead in his residence in Naraguta by gunmen.

Residents of the community said Shekara was into mining and had just retired into his house when he was killed by the assailants on Sunday night.

The coordinator neighbourhood watch, Mr Ola Azeez confirmed the killing in Nassau Local Government and Josh North and said he will investigate the one that occurred in Mangu.
