News at ViewPoint Nigeria news desk through Daily Trust indicates that Football star Elijah Golbe has expressed his excitement for making the 30-man list invited by Super Eagles’ Chief Coach, Salisu Yusuf for next month’s 2018 African Nations Championship, CHAN qualifying fixture against the winner between Togo and Benin Republic.

Golbe, Captain of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table toppers, Plateau United Football Club of Jos, who spoke with Daily Trust in Jos also said it was the dream of every player to play for his country.

He said: “It is a dream of every player to play for his country one day, and I appreciate the opportunity giving to me to represent Nigeria, if I would be among the players to start the game, I will make sure I give my best and make my fans, Plateau state and Nigeria proud.”

Reacting to the hard fought 0-0 draw with Lobi Stars in Makurdi, the defender said they were pleased and excited for the point because it wasn’t an easy game.

He rued some of the chances his team missed but insisted they would pick themselves and bury the chances they would get in the next game.

Golbe said: “I think we have a lot of chances that we are supposed to utilize, but the goals were not coming, that’s how football is sometimes, but definitely we are going to tight our belt and make sure next time, we bury all the chances we would get.”

He added that their resilient, determination, hardworking and also the support from the Governor of Plateau state, Simon Bako Lalong and their fans were responsible for their home form this season.
