Though the issue of corruption involving lawmakers in Plateau State House of assembly is not new, the current dimension it has taken has drawn the attention of the ICPC.
It would be recalled that recently a non-governmental organization, the Plateau Patriotic Front, petitioned the House over an alleged high magnitude corruption the House of Assembly, including individuals of the Plateau State Government.
It described the state legislature as a toothless bull dog that cannot bark at the excesses of the State Government.
The Plateau Patriotic Front alleged that the lawmakers have compromised their integrity by collecting huge sums of money from personalities within the Government to stop the investigation process.
But the latest move against the House is viewed by many as the last straw that will break the back of the cohesion of the Plateau State House of Assembly so that they would not find a footing to rest on to challenge some alleged corruption levelled against the government.
