A top contender in the Plateau Southern Senatorial race who stepped down in the early hours of Friday 21st, August, 2020. has in the spirit of inclusiveness called his in-house supporters to a party at “Drogba Palace and Bar”, to explain to them beyond the social media his reasons for stepping aside from the race.

 In the party which lasted for over three hours, the stepped down aspirant took out quality time to explain to his closest friends and supporters his reasons for quitting the race. In his words, the stepped down aspirant said, "I have deemed it fit and important to call you here as my closest friends to explain to you beyond the social media my reasons for quitting from the race. I have not been given a dime by any aspirant to step down. It is solely my decision and I do that in the interest of the generality of the masses whom I seek to represen...".

Responding, the closest friends who were in attendance appreciated Hon. Stephen Nkat for carrying them along from the beginning of the race to this time. They further said his reasons for quitting the race is understood and in the right direction. They pledged to remain resolute and determined with the stepped down aspirant should he decide to collapse his structure for any other candidate.

However, the campaign DG and other close friends where unavoidably absent but sent in their goodwill.
