Hon Samuel Nathaniel Dapiya has given Panyam, Mangu LGA a new look especially at night with yet another philanthropic intervention. This time he has sponsored the provision of solar street lights at strategic locations in Panyam, Mangu LGA.

Hon Dapiya who had shown keen interest to run for Mangu/Bokkos Federal House of Representatives in 2019 has been a philanthropist and a community development addict. This time he sponsored the provision of solar street lights at strategic locations in Panyam, Mangu LGA.

According to Hon Dapiya who hails from Panyam,the gesture was born out of the his desire to ensure that his people could still find their way home and keep vigilant at night.

Hon Dapiya stressed that there was need to light up the street considering the rising insecurity in suburban localities, pointing out that criminal elements will be discouraged from perpetrating their intentions knowing that they will be spotted even at night.

Hon Dapiya called on well meaning Plateau people to support other young persons already doing various types of bottom-up/grassroot interventions to ameliorate the overburdening on the scarce facilities available in the communities. By so doing, they will be giving their own support to efforts by government.

Areas in Panyam currently enjoying this phase of intervention include the following;

  1. Tahsa, Panyam
  2. COCIN Church,
  3. Anguwan Hausawa,
  4. Interior and
  5. The Palace by Nakam Junction.
