Rotshak Gideon Yokden hails from Ballang Shipang, Wuchenbe of Pankshin LGC. His father, being a renowned Pastor served in different states across Nigeria including Borno, where Rotshak, the chairmanship hopeful was born. Few years later, the popular pastor Yokden was transfered from Maiduguri, Borno State, to Plateau state where Rotshak was brought up.

Rotshak enrolled for his primary education at Government college staff school, Pankshin. On completion, he immediately proceeded to Government secondary school, Bet, Pankshin, where he obtained his secondary certificate.
In his quest for knowledge, he proceeded to Plateau state Polytechnic where he obtained a certificate in Accounting and Auditing. A year later, he switched to the education line and enrolled for NCE program at FCE Pankshin where he studied Social studies/English Language. A couple of years after, Rotshak gained admission into the prestigious university of Jos where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in social studies.

 The educational feats attained above were made possible because of the zeal, desire and courage of Rotshak's passion and commitment to lifting himself up. 

As industrious as he is, the determined personality started business since when he was a student of FCE Pankshin where he used to sell clothes to students and lecturers to earn a living. Through the small business, he sponsored his tertiary education while in FCE Pankshin and University of Jos for his NCE and degree respectively.
Upon graduation from FCE Pankshin, Rotshak boosted his business by opening a befitting shop and stocking it with clothes of different kinds. Gradually, after gaining enough financial independence he switched from sales of clothes to property business including land/Cars. Till date, the dogged personality is an expert on land and car businesses where he has blossomed and is still blossoming.

 As kind hearted as he is, since gaining enough financial independence, Rotshak has been a pillar to many less privileged people where he pays their bills, sponsor their education and many more. Coming from a humble background, the front line aspirant understands what it means to be in need and has always been driven by passion to help the less privileged.

His philanthropic gestures are quite enormous but has always warned against making it public because the aim is not to impress but to touch lives sincerely from his heart.
Rotshak’s quest to serve humanity through touching more lives, threw his hat into the ring for the chairmanship position of Pankshin LGC in 2018 and pushed it to the latter but lost out victoriously in the primaries election.
Although, he could not secure the ticket of the party then, he was not deterred by such but rather rallied round the winner of the primary election to deliver him at the secondary election which saw to the emergence of the APC as the winner of the 2018 Chairmanship election.

Since then, his quest and urge to want to serve differently from the usual rhetorics keep increasing and that is exactly why he remained in the APC fold and has still been helpful to the party at different levels.
Rotshak, as his name implies, has always been a lover of humanity irrespective of religious, political or tribal inclination.

He has assured all of his unfettered commitment to serve the entire people of Pankshin Local Government Area when given the mandate.
We therefore urge all to see reason to support this young personality who has the passion to serve and not to be served.
