Answering questions regarding the state of Democracy in Nigeria, Hon. Diket Plang stressed that Democracy in Nigeria has given Nigerians the opportunity to elect leaders of their choice, it is an advantage he said!
In democracy people are allowed to make a case or complain. Therefore, even given the chance to recall under performing elected leaders to replace them with better ones. From 1999 to date so many positive achievement have been gotten as a result of the people’s request and desire for example universities, colleges and polytechnics that are visible today, Democracy is improving day by the day he said and with time Nigeria and Nigerians will get it right.

Hon. Diket Plang said Nigeria is moving better and better towards the light of democracy and getting to understand it.

He said unlike the advance countries like America who have enjoyed democracy for two hundred years it will not be fair to compare it with a country such as Nigeria who got it’s independence in 1960 and witness the first democratic government in 1999.
Hon. Diket Plang urge citizens and elected leaders in the best interest of Nigeria to come together in unity,togetherness and corporation to move the country to greater hight.
Hon.Diket Plang further stated in an answer to the state of Democracy in Plateau,He said the Government of Plateau state headed by his Excellency Bar. Simon Bako Lalong in achieving the number one goal of government of providing security of life and property and the welfare of the people. He urge citizens, leaders and elders of the state to come together in unity and common ground to fulfill the plateau dream. cohesive movement is what will bring about massive Transformation that the people desire to see,He emphasize the need for people on the plateau to do away with all dividing factors and see each other as one regardless of tribe,relegion or otherwise and come to gather to move the plateau dream,corrections should be done in love and understanding.
Hon.Diket lastly comment P.R.T.V for using it’s program in promoting plateau and preaching peace which is a vital tool in moving the state forward. Think plateau, Act Plateau.
