History is about to be made in Mangu local government area of Plateau State as a social media group using whatzup platform for community mobilization, The MANGU YOUTHS FORUM MEET

Social media may represent a breakthrough for political and community mobilization campaigns because unlike traditional unidirectional media such as billboards and television advertisements, they engage readily available technology to encourage active communication and participation among the target audiences.

History is about to be made in Mangu local government area of Plateau State as a social media group using whatzup platform for community mobilization, The MANGU YOUTHS FORUM meets for a unity love feast on the 2^nd of January,2018 at the classic Hotel Mangu. The whatzup group which was created on the 11/11/2016 had built a movement of youths to engage their local community in a number of issues. Opening the event the chairman of the planning committee Comr. Alex Wani states that the aim of the gathering is to bring members of the forum who are drawn from tribes in Mangu LGA under an umbrella , in a similar vein, Comr.Akims Mamot James while presenting a talk tagged : ‘staging a revolution through social Media and understanding the concept of unity among youths in 2019 and beyond’ charge the youths of the platforms to get ready for a revolution. Emphasizing that indeed by this group if there is unity of purpose among members the movement towards a revolution can be launch in Mangu LGA , explaining further Comr. Akims declare also his intention to contest for the Mangu Bokkos House of Representative by next political dispensation

The Deputy Chairman of the of Plateau Youths Council Comr.Gongden speaking to the youths challenge the youths to rally around the Plateau Youths Council as proper research has been carried out and the leadership is ready to launch a struggle that will better the Youths condition on the plateau, the PYC Deputy Vice Chairman also encourage the youths to tap to the potential of the social media to better their condition because the plateau youths is an orphan who had no body to stand for his/her interest within the larger political platform .

There are contributions and solidarity greetings from different members of the group; the event was coordinated by the veteran MC Mishkaam Po who made sure the audiences are entertained.
