President Muhammadu Buhari will contest the 2019 presidential election to complete the good work he is doing, National Coordinator, the Buhari Vanguard, Alhaji Musa Aliyu, has said.

In a statement yesterday in Abuja, Aliyu said just like what happened previously when Buhari was asked by people of goodwill to contest for the presidency, millions of well-wishers would encourage him to go for a second term.

“The youth strongly agree that PMB has really worked hard during the first half of his tenure. Millions of Nigerians are encouraged by the huge achievement recorded so far in terms of keeping to his promise of truly securing the country for peaceful coexistence and economic development,” Aliyu said.

According to him, Buhari’s presidency had  demonstrated that it can be trusted and relied upon in moving the country forward, saying democracy was deepened   through strict adherence to the doctrine of separation of power.

“This is the first time a sitting president will willingly transmit power to the vice president to serve as acting president. Unlike before, this is an indication that the presidency is not just a team, but  a place where the rule of law is being observed,” he said.
