The Annual Harvest Thanksgiving of the Church of Christ in Nations(COCIN) LCC Angwan Rogo celebrated with a called to the congregation to always give their hearts to God as first Thanksgiving, This called was made by Evangelist Phillip Alarms on his Homily,he read from the books of Luke 6:38,Proverbs 3:9-10 .The guest Speaker identify two types of Thanksgiving, Circular and religious thanksgiving, the major problem of poverty in Africa is greet and corruption not lack of materials and human resources, according to him the Continent is endowed with but human and material resources, he decried the mental disposition and perception, some of us in Africa are mentally, psychologically and spiritually poor and we need to delete that from our minds. Thanksgiving is a command that all Christians must obey, the difference between God and devil is that God gives but devil takes it away, God build but the devil destroy, God test us in the following ways as we give, He test our motives of giving, Generosity, the Quantity, quality, our tongues and he also test our faithfulness, the occasion was chaired by Hon. Henry Yukwop and was represented by the speaker of the State House of Assembly Hon. Joshua Izang Madaki, plauded the efforts and resilience of the church despite the challenges they are passing through. The members of the church took turn to present their gifts and resources before the Lords, songs rendition by the church’s groups which spiced the occasion
