To all God’s generals
The works you did were several.
I salute all the true soldiers of Christ.
Those who sacrifice their lives.
In spreading the gospel world wide.
Those who were killed during religious crisis.
Jesus Christ recognizes your faces.

Those who died in the struggles.
The Lord has wiped away all your troubles.
To my Dad, Rev. Matthew T. Damakuk.
You created joy in the lives of your people.
Prof. Ishaya Audu.
Your name is printed in gold in the minds of those who know you.
Mrs. Josephine Anjugu.
You gave a helping hand to my crew.
We would continue to mourn you.
Until we join you.

Rev. Yakubu Yako.
I just want to say hello.

To all God’s generals.

You were the man.
Alex Chindaba, it was just yesterday that you and I were gisting.
I can still hear your golden voice singing.
What about the fire-brand Evangelist, Paul Gindiri.
You affected people’s destinies.
You left a good legacy.
Oh, how we miss you in Jos city.
Rev. Tom Moses, you’re gone.
But your music still lives on.
Oh, how you loved the microphone.

Pastor D.S Adams, leading us in the right way.
You’re taken away.
But your teachings will never pass away.
Pastor Bimbo Odukoya.
You taught us how to be the best of lovers.
Rev. Philip Mokunga.
Your love and prophecies exceed beyond Africa
Bishop Gabriel Ganaka.
Pastor Inna.
Arch – Bishop Benson Idahosa.
You were all true soldiers.
We all love you.

Ah, I almost forgot.
Rev. David Lot.
You did a lot.
We’ll forget you not.
Rev. Emmy Joe.
We need a lot of you kind.
Ann Suwa.
To this generation you were the answer.
Peter Morris.
There was no voice like his.

And to all the men and women of God unknown.
Those who aren’t mentioned in this poem.
And those who died in the mission field.
Heaven is what you shall all yield.
