Senator GNS Pwajok representing Plateau North Senatorial Zone in the House of Assembly has in strong terms condemned the twin bomb blasts in Jos this evening. The Senator, speaking to ViewPointNigeria exclusively through one of his aides, denounced the barbaric act, calling it an act of senseless evil which would not go unpunished.
He sympathised with all citizens affected by the dastard act, saying that Government was going to step up action to bring succour to the people. He wondered why certain elements of discord and evil would continue to maim and kill innocent citizens as they please without facing the wrath of law.
Senator GNS Pwajok representing Plateau North Senatorial Zone in the House of Assembly (and the new PDP Gubernatorial flag bearer) has in strong terms condemned the twin bomb blasts in Jos this evening.
In his words “Jos has been experiencing an extended period of peace ahead of the Christmas celebration, and so it is sad that certain elements are trying to disrupt this peaceful atmosphere by bringing chaos to our people”.
Speaking further, he charged all-and-sundry to unite in order to fend off this common enemy, saying that our shared values, dreams and aspirations were under threat by these dissident elements and we must not allow them divide us or succeed in harming our resolve or inner strength.
He appealed to security agencies to step up action in order to protect and safeguard life and property -saying the number one ingredient of any thriving democracy is the right of “self preservation and the right to life”. Life is sacred and no one has the right to take another person’s, as such we must continue to live together in peace and harmony, being vigilant and being our brother’s keepers, he said.
The Senator, said he would maintain an open line of communication with the entire community in order to hear and understand the difficulties faced by his people.
Finally, he prayed for the repose of the souls of the faithfully departed, asking God to grant them eternal rest.
