Plateau North Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 election, Amb (Dr) Chris Musa Giwa has condemned in strong terms the unprovoked killing of six persons in Tapo village of Heipang District, Barkin Ladi LGA, Wereng community and Bachi District of Riyom LGA.
Registering his displeasure at the inhumane attacks which occured at the weekend leaving in it’s wake, six persons dead with two injured, he frowned at the situation where human lives is no longer sacred, and criminal elements perpetrate their heinous acts without thoughts of the consequences such has on the peace, unity, and development of Nigeria.
He described as sad and worrisome the systematic attacks against the people of Plateau State especially Plateau North Senatorial District and expressed optimism that God will raise genuine leaders like Nehemiah who will provide workable solutions that will restore peace and protect citizens and their properties in line with the dictates of the Nigerian constitution.
“Though, we grapple with challenges, they are temporary. We should not despair but put our absolute trust in God Almighty that he will wipe our tears and come to our rescue”, he said.
While commiserating with the bereaved families, and the Berom nation over the unfortunate dastard act, he offered prayers for the swift recovery of those injured, return of peace in the land and a clarion call on the security agencies to rise up to their constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and properties.
