The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been described as a party whose only interest is the state treasury, not the welfare of the people.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, who is the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Campaign Council, stated this on Monday, saying this was the reason Governor Godwin Obaseki moved to the party.

Ganduje spoke after the inauguration of the council.

According to Ganduje, the APC candidate has all it takes to win the state governorship race, and the party was not worried about the Governor Nyesom Wike-led PDP National Campaign Council.

Godwin Obaseki, who recently joined the PDP after being disqualified from the APC, is the governorship candidate of the PDP.

Ize Iyamu on the other hand, is the candidate of the APC.

The duo will be slugging it out with other flagbearers in the September 19 Guber election.
