News hitting the ViewPointNigeria news desk indicates that an attack is currently underway in Darwat hamlet of Jol village, in Barkin Ladi LGA.

Darwat hamlet is on the outskirts of Jol village, close to Kwi, which came under severe attack during last week’s killing spree.

Reports confirm that sounds of heavy artillery could be heard from miles away as suspected herdsmen are said to have again laid siege on the village.

At the time of filling this report, no casualties were yet reported – however ViewPointNigeria reporters are yet making frantic calls to find out the true situation of things, including when the attack started, number of casualties etc.

This attack is coming at the backdrop of the killing of over 250 people in Gashish district last week from Friday to Monday.
