The Imo State Police command on Monday disclosed that the newly posted State commissioner of Police, Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede has officially assume duty in the State Command.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the State announced this in Owerri the State capital, noting that Akinmoyede took over from CP Bolaji Olaniyi as the 36th commissioner of the State.
The statement reads, “Imo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that a new Police Commissioner has been posted to the State. He is CP Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede.
He takes over from CP Faforowa Bolaji Olaniyi who has since retired have having attain the mandatory age of service.
CP Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede hails from Lagos State. He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superitendant of Police in 1988.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree (BSc), in Chemistry.
He had served the Force in various and various capacities and different commands and formations across the country. And until his recent posting to this command, he was the Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command.
