Ahead of the 2019 Presidential election, National Coordinator of Alliance For New Nigeria ANN students wing Comrade Sam Odeh, on Friday said that Fela Durotoye remained its Presidential candidate who was duly elected in the party’s recent Presidential primaries supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Odeh made this known in a press statement made available to newsmen in Jos stressing that the process that led to the emergency of Durotoye was transparency, free and fair, and was in accordance with the guidelines of the party.

He said the student body of the party is in cohort with the Primaries of the party held on the 29th of September 2018, which saw Mr. Fela Durotoye as its flag bearer, as it was held in line with the constitution of the party as stipulated by the press statement of the board of trustees (BOT) a fortnight ago.

It reads that “We the Students’ Wing of our great party after carefully observing the antecedents of the party in this past few days, ” we are Loyal to the party and doggedly behind it’s Democratically elected Leadership ”

“. That we pass Vote of Confidence on the National Chairman of the Party Mr. Emmanuel Dania and his team. ”

.”We are grateful to National Leadership of the party for all efforts made to see to the unity and growth of the party. We specially thank Mr. Emmanuel Dania the National chairman for his maturity and standing firmly to the vision of the party by not selling the party to money bags that have the orientation of the old.”

” We say NO to factionalisation of ANN which is lead by Dr Jay Osi Samuels the erstwhile interim Chairman of the party.”

The statement further reads that “That we appeal to Dr Jay Osi Samuel to uphold the constitution of the party and show an exemplary Leaderships of integrity. Otherwise we pass Vote of No Confidence on him and his ‘Co-travellers

“.We also want to use this medium to commiserate with the Family of Late Shedrack Kums, a 300 level student of Law from the prestigious University of Jos, who was shot to death on Sunday the 30/09/2018. Comrade Shedrack Kums before his death was a bona-fide card carrying member of ANN. He will be forever remembered. Likewise we also extend our best regards and quick recovery to another bona-fide card carrying member of ANN, Comrade Lonji Yakubu a 400 Level student of Archeology from the prestigious University of Jos who was Shot on Sunday as well. Comrade Longji is currently receiving treatment and is responding fine.”
” We also want to use this medium to categorically state that we are doggedly behind the party and we will always live by its dictate in as much as it is in line with the constitution of Nigeria and the dream of a New Nigeria. “
