The Federal College of Education (FCE), Pankshin, matriculated 3,428 (NCE 1) students yesterday, heralding the start of their 2016 academic year.
Acting Provost of the College, Dr Emele Kalu, who conducted the matriculation at the college graduation arena, described the occassion as “unique” and the harbinger of the 2016 academic activities”.
Kalu said, “Today we are formally matriculating 3,428 students in the NCE I programme in the six schools of the colleges: Adult and Non-formal Education; Arts and Special Sciences, ECCE and PES, Languages, Science and Vocational and Technology.
He admonished the students to remain studious, of good character and not leaning towards bad tendencies which can hamper their studies.
