The Emir of Wase, Alhaji Sambo Haruna Muhammadu, stated this when the APC governorship candidate, Simon Lalong and the state executive of the party paid him a courtesy visit during a campaign tour yesterday. He however said he was working to ensure that all displaced persons return home.
He said the attacks were mostly instigated by selfish politicians in the local government and the emirate, adding, “As the traditional father, I’m working to reconcile all the people so that we can speak with one voice.”
He urged his subjects to live in unity, saying, nobody should discriminate against anyone on the basis of religion or tribe. The emir advised Nigerians not to sell their votes but vote according to their conscience, and putting the interests of the nation first.
“God gives power to whoever He pleases,” he said.
The APC governorship candidate, Simon Lalong said he and his party hierarchy were at the palace to solicit the emir’s support.
