The Emir of Wase, Dr Muhammad Sambo Haruna, has called on the American Government to extend their Collaborative efforts on Development to Wase local Government Area of Plateau State.
The Emir made the call while playing host to the Charge De Affairs of the American Embassy in Nigeria Mr David Young at the Eid el Kabir Durbar festival by the Wase Emirate during the Sallah celebration in Jos
The traditional ruler also used the occasion to expressed his support and loyalty to President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Simon Bako Lalong with a call on them to continue with the good work they are doing especially on providing security for peaceful coexistence.
He equally reiterated his loyalty to the President, Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, the Gbong Gwom Jos ,His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba ,while expressing his Joy over the presence of the Gbong Gwom who spent the night in Wase to grace the occasion which is the first of its kind in the whole of Plateau State .
He therefore call for special prayers for the Gbong Gwom for good health and positive leadership of the Council .
In his speech the Charge De Affairs of the American Embassy in Nigeria Mr David Young promised to look into the request of the Emir with the view to exploring best ways of collaboration between the American Embassy and Wase Emirate in terms of Development.
The Gbong Gwom Jos,His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, thanked the host on behalf of the invited Guests for the warm reception accorded Them and called on all People to live in peace irrespective of Tribe and Religious Beliefs while also preserving the Culture and Traditions for generations to come.
Among the Dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Commander Special Task Force (Operations Safe heaven )Plateau State, General A Agundu, Management Committee Chairmen of Langtang South and Shendam Local Government Areas amongst others .
