Plateau state Governorship candidate of the Labour Party Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum was today at the Foundation Laying Ceremony of TCNN College of Education academic block for the School of Arts and Social Sciences.
Dr Patrick Dakum for his love for the gospel and as a church leader said he believes that if the community has quality professor and God-fearing teacher the society will be great and social vices and crime would reduce.
The Plateau State Labour Party Governorship Candidate, said he has been in partnership with TCNN for the past 26 years and promised to continue to support the college giving an example with the story of “Moses in the holy Bible when he raised support for the building of the building of the tabernacle and they continue to give until it got to a point when he it’s enough and he only said it is enough when the project the was completed.
Dakum urged the college management to continue to involve him in all the school projects.
He said, “No matter what happens at the election, we still remain christian and will continue to partner.”
Earlier, the Deputy provost Mrs. Tarphena. O. Dashan, in her welcoming address, said it is with great pleasure and gratitude to God Almighty that She welcomed you all to this epoch making event in the life of TCNN College of Education.
The Theological College of Northern Nigeria TCNN College of Education TCE Bukuru began as a Centre for continuing education in 2012 in affiliation with the College of Education, Gindiri with twenty- four students, seven courses, and over 20 part-time lecturers.”
The college was inspected by the national Commission for colleges of Education (NCCE) the body that oversees the activities of all the colleges of Education in Nigeria to help determine whether to grant the school autonomous status or not.
The deputy registrar appealed to the guest to support the project and appreciated His Excellency Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum and other dignitaries for finding it worthy to support the work of God.
