The frontline Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chief Executive officer of the revered Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, Abuja, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum has parlayed Plateau Youths on the occasion of the birthday/thank you dinner of the mouthpiece of the Plateau State Youth council, Kumwen Walshak Musa.

The erudite Professor of medicine and the Youth friendly Gubernatorial candidate surprisingly stormed the venue of the event on receiving information of such an important event where Plateau Youths across the state were in attendance.

While speaking, the much talked about Gubernatorial candidate congratulated very warmly, the celebrant and described him as a worthy son who has done and is doing well in all ramifications. He added that as a father to the celebrant, he is proud of the accomplishments and commitments of the celebrant in Youths activities both locally and nationally.
Dr. Dakum expressed deep joy for finding himself amidst the Youths and stressed that issues affecting Youths shall be prioritised and given special attention. He took out time to interact extensively with the Youths, sighting some of his laudable achievements during his time as commissioner of Information and later Health and now CEO, Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, and how those achievements can be consolidated upon when he becomes Governor.

The Gubernatorial Hopeful while remembering his good days as host of the popular ‘Home Front’ program on PRTV, cracked jokes and danced with the Youths and further challenged them to remain focused and determined to achieve their goals in life. He added that as Youths, the future of Plateau State lies in their hands and so it is important for them to work tirelessly for the future without necessarily looking at the immediate benefits of their efforts.

He concluded by thanking Plateau Youths for the support given to him thus far and pleaded for more, promising the Youths lasting friendship and relationship when he clinches the party ticket and by extension, the Governorship position in 2023.

The Youths who were overwhelmed and amazed by the humility, cheerfulness and achievements of the frontline Gubernatorial aspirant, showered accolades on him and assured of their support, praying God to reward him with success at both the Primary and Secondary elections.
