DPR nabs man for impersonation in Jos

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has arrested a suspect for impersonating its official and duping unsuspecting marketers.

Mr Shehu Yusuf, Head of Retail, Outlet and Marketing of the department, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Jos.

Yusuf, who said the department’s personnel caught the suspect at Akeamana service station on Domkat Bali way in Jos, alleged that he had duped no fewer than five filling stations.

At the time of filing this report, details of the identity of the suspect, remains sketchy but he was confirmed to be an elderly man of approx. 55 years. Speaking about the matter, Shehu Yusuf (the head of retail) confirmed that the suspect had been handed over to the Rantya police station in low cost area.

He urged marketers to be vigilant and report any suspects to security agencies
