The campaign train of APC in the State had paid homage to the monarch before addressing the teeming supporters who had gathered for the local government rally.
The monarch said, “My advice to all eligible voters is that they should hold on to their PVC firmly and guard it jealously, they should not sell it because it is with the voter’s card they can effect a change over how they are governed.
“I also need to advise people to vote according to their conscience and resist any form of intimidation. I also wish to advise politicians to put the interest of the nation first in all forms of electioneering campaign and desist from acts that could be interpreted to imply desperation.
“It is God that gives power and politicians don’t need to exhibit acts of desperation when seeking for power.
He commended APC and its governorship flag bearer for conducting a peaceful campaign rally in most of the local governments of the state and urged them to maintain the peaceful campaign in the remaining local governments.
The APC governorship flag bearer, Lalong in company of his running mate Sunny Tyoden and other party stalwarts said he was at the palace to seek the blessing of the monarch for electoral victory.
Lalong said, “We are in your domain today in continuation of our campaign tour, and it is necessary to come to you for your fatherly advice and blessings. I also need your moral and spiritual support as
a father.
The APC campaign team later moved to Wase Township Stadium where it addressed a mammoth crowed of supporters.
