Director General PEPSA promises clean, safe and protected environment, new ways of doing things

The Director General of the Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) Mr Samuel Dapiya has promised to change the narrative about the agency going forward in ensuring a clean, safe and protected environment in the state. He added that Plateau people should expect a shift from the old norm, and get ready proper environmental sanitation in the state.

Mr Dapiya made this know while speaking to journalists in his office, along Murtala Muhammed Way Jos shortly after taking over reigns of the agency from the Director of Administration of the Agency Mrs Anthonia Marshal Shalwul in a brief ceremony today Monday 19th February 2024.

Mr Dapiya noted that Governor Mutfwang’s restructuring of the organization which was hitherto headed by a General Manager, to now a Director General shows that the Governor is ready to move the agency to greater heights.

Accroding to him “Changing the organizational leadership from General Manager to Director General gives the agency a great sense of independence to function because he has great interest for the face of Plateau. We are here to serve and to work for Plateau people, which is our core mandate and our core responsibility. That is what we will focus here to do, that is what we will execute and do for Plateau people”.

The Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Plateau State on Youth Mobilization and Engagement Hon Hitler Joshua Pwajok also witness the event, along with family, friends and associates of the Director General. Rev Solomon Guruza of the ECWA Seminary Church was present to pray and encourage Mr Dapiya to trust in the Lord for guidance as he leads PEPSA in the path God has planned, in accordance with the vision that God has given Governor Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
