Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Johnson Olawunmi has described Plateau as “a peaceful state” regardless of the security challenges that have bedevilled the state.

Olawunmi was speaking when he went on a tour of Plateau state NYSC Orientation camp in Mangu Local Government Area. He said that no society can be said to be free from insecurity as it was a global phenomenon.

The Director-General said that he is enthusiastic that the corps members will finish the scheme in the state without any form of violent attack on them. He hopes that they will have a nice and enjoyable stay during the entire service year.
