News reaching the ViewPointNigeria news desk indicates that the Deputy Chief of Staff to Plateau State Governor, Hon. Yusuf Gambo Hawaja has died.

Hawaja was said to have passed on earlier this morning in his residence in Jos. As at this evening, he was being buried according to Muslim rights, in the company of friends and family.

Our source confirmed that Mr Hawaja collapsed in his house in the early hours of this morning and was being rushed to hospital when died in the car.

Hawaja was in his early 50s. He was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff by Governor Lalong in 2015.
