DELEGATION OF PYC ASPIRANTS MEETS THE COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTH AND SPORTS, SEEKS CLARIFICATIONS ON ISSUES RELATING TO THE FORTHCOMING ELECTIONS

A delegation of the aspirants vying for elections in the forthcoming Plateau Youth Council’s election have paid an unscheduled visit to the commissioner for Youth and sports to seek clarifications on the lingered elections which has been on hold because of the corona virus pandemic.

In a brief but fruitful deliberation, the representatives of PYC aspirants tabled their concerns to the commissioner among which were majorly issues related to the when the elections will hold. The delegation pleaded with the commissioner to look for better means through which the elections will hold while putting into cognizance the current reality ravaging the globe. While pleading of the elections to hold, the delegation made instances of many elections which have and are still being held despite the pandemic, saying that they have expended a lot and are getting exhausted thereby making the heat unbearable.

Responding, the commissioner for Youth and sports, Hon. Victor Lapang appreciated the delegation for the visit and assured that the elections will hold in no distant time and pleaded with the aspirants to be a little patient saying that he is very much aware of the challenges that the aspirants are going through.
