DAKUM ATTENDS RCC KABONG, PROMISES SUSTAINED FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Plateau State Labour Party Governorship Candidate ,Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum on Sunday 6th November, 2022 attended the combined church service of the COCIN RCC Kabong in Jos North LGA of Plateau State.

Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum called on members to be lovers of peace knowing fully well that the state is in dire need of a leader who will unite us and bring peace in our communities.

He said “anytime we gather like this, I always tell my supporters not to fight on my behalf, rather I charge them to pray for Plateau State so that God will help us to elect Leaders that will bring peace and unity in our land, because if there is no peace there will be no development.”

Dr. Patrick Dakum also said “as Christians we must always give to God because he is the owner of everything we own.”

Dakum made a donation of Two Hundred Thousand Naira to support the church purchase a vehicle for the work of God and also promised to be giving 50 thousand naira monthly until the vehicle is purchased.

Earlier the RCC chairman Rev. Zack M. Dara in his pastoral greetings welcomed members, all special guests and called on Christians to be active in politics and be sincere in their dealings to ensure that good leaders are elected to government positions.

Rev. Zack also encouraged members to do away with tribal sentiments in choosing who should govern the state and to be aware of the predicaments and the persecution of the church and Christians in Nigeria are facing in today’s Nigeria.

The Guest Speaker,Rev. Maxwell Dayok Rtd in his sermon read from the book of Acts 4:32-37 with a topic: “The Act of Love in the Early Church, Working in Unity”.

According to the clergyman, the early church were demonstrating the act of love and working in unity through showing the Grace of God in their lives by giving for the work of God wholeheartedly. He said “united we stand and divided we fall”.God wants us to walk in love and unity to be a great nation. When we are united together we can do great things and be victorious.

The clergyman also said “we must connect ourselves with God as there is a vertical relationship and there is a horizontal relationship.This means we can’t have good relationship with one another until we have good relationship with God for us to be able to live in Unity.”

In a related development, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum also attended ECWA Jos DCC 2022 DCC Convention with the theme; “Thus far the Lord has helped us” where he encouraged members to be peace Ambassadors .
