Serious conflict was averted today in the headquarters of the plateau state independent electoral commission (PLASSIEC) today; presence of heavy security is visible around the vicinity.
The leader of the G17 PDP youths Mr. Dachung Bagus who is also a contestant for the seat of House of Reps was said to be the major cause of this conflict as he announces that all plateau youths should converge for the protest to demand for Local Government Elections Yesterday on Unity FM.
While Speaking to ViewPointNigeria. Citizen reporter Dakwom Longgul, the Deputy Chairman of the plateau youths Council Comr.Gungden said;
Is unfortunate that at this trial moment in the history of plateau state, when we are faced with attacks in the villages, this group of political motivated group are bent on causing mischief to gain cheap political score, let place it on record that the leadership of the PYC led by Dr. Fabong have reason to seat with Dachung, advising him that even though they have no problem with his group, however, the PYC caution him to always and only speak for his political group because he has no mandate to call on all plateau youths.
The Deputy Chairman Again added that
Looking at the security situation, the PYC is taking time for consultation rather than jumping to the street, Gungden wish to draw the attention of Bogus to map out his lines appropriately.
Out the many youths on ground, many are of same opinion that Bogus even though a citizen with full Rights , lacks the capacity and mandate of the plateau youths hence, he should always and only speak for himself or his political group
Commenting, the Central Zone coordinator of Plateau Youths Council Comr. Rotgak caution Bogus that there is a youth Chairman with the mandate of the Youths hence, he should stop impersonating.
As of the time of filing this report ViewPOintNigeria couldn’t connect Bagus to comment on the conflict created but repots have it that Bogus called the same radio station to announce his withdrawal .
