The Chairman in a press statement made available to journalists in Jos on Sunday, said, the party’s Secretary has dished out invitations of a meeting of State Executive Committee (SEC) to hold a meeting this Monday 16 June 2014.
The statement disassociate the embattled Chairman from the purported meeting, and said the Party Secretary was not directed to call for the said meeting.
It reads, “The Chairman and members of the State Working Committee (SWC) are not aware of the purported meeting as convened by the State Secretary.
The urged those invited to the said meeting to disregard the call by the Secretary, stressing that the party Secretary lacks the constitutional right to call for such gathering without directives from the party chairman.

The statement further reads, “The attention of the State PDP Chairman Dr. Haruna Dabin had been drawn to a press statement purported to have been issued by the State Secretary of the Party convening a meeting of the State Executive Committee (SEC) on Monday 16 June 2014 at the Presidential Lodge Jos.”
It would be recalled that there is an ongoing announcement since on Saturday in the State owned radio station PRTVC of an Emergency meeting of the State Working Committee on
Among those invited were the State Chairman of the party, Governor Jonah Jang, his Deputy, the Speaker of the House of Assembly and his principal officers and members of the national assembly.
