Giwa Football Club (FC) of Jos has been ordered to return to the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL). The order came from the federal high court in Jos which issued an interim injunction restraining the league management company (LMC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) from preventing or further excluding Giwa FC of Jos from participating in the 2013/2014 NPFL season has been issued.

The presiding Judge, Justice Ambrose Allagoa gave the order on Wednesday while ruling on a motion experte filled by Giwa FC challenging the decision of the LMC to exclude the club from participating in the matches organised by LMC. He said the club should return to status quo pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice. Akagoa thereafter adjourned the case till March twenty seven for hearing.

The Chairman of Giwa FC, Ambassador Chris Giwa while reacting to the judgement said “Yes, there is a court injunction that the LMC should not stop Giwa Fc from participating in the league but the league can only be stopped if the LMC fails to comply with the court order and the parties involved have been duly notified.”
