Did you ever in recent times, look around at all the happenings against the voices and decisions of majority of Plateau people today, and feel gripped by fear in your fine heart?

Whoever believes that the reality currently staring at Plateau State in the eye (face) is something that feels so difficult and devastating, is right.

The Responsible Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Hon Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang had no doubt, mounted the stage of Plateau State leadership at the most difficult starting point for a Governor or any leader, and has unequivocally assured the people of the State, who were already scared by the great depression, hunger, insecurity and irresponsibility of the immediate past administration that bedeviled the State between 2015 and 2023.

This assurance given by His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang came after the bloodless fight which featured external authorities, forces and deadly vested interests interloping into the affairs of a State which wasn’t indebted to them for anything.

One might have wondered if we’d committed an unforgivable offense that the enemies bent on ensuring the stagnation of our God-given land, continued to strike each Time our light shows up to reviving our hopes.

We have been worried enough about whether or not, Plateau will ever survive the deliberate attempts to suffocate its existence and struggles to place it where it rightly belongs.

We’ve craved enough for safety and certainty, for simplicity and better livelihood, but so many things feel threatening to those desires and collective wishes of the majority of people of the State.

How do we navigate and reconcile the invisible war between our fears and our faith? This has been the question on the lips and minds of Plateaunians, begging for answers.

There’s a wonderful tested and trusted truth in 2Kings-6:16 we’ve always turn to, as a people, time without numbers when we get afraid of anything and this trusted Truth should be fully accommodated in a safer location and not discarded at this material time. It has always been a courage Bank and this is another riped moment to key into the tested Truth in 2Kings 6:16 -He said, “Fear not, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

When the Lord who has our past, owns the present and future of all humans said in Luke 10:19 that He’d given us authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the powers of the enemies, and that nothing will injure us, He knew there’ll be a Time that majority of Plateau people will on the 18th March, 2023, agree on Hon. Barr. Caleb Mutfwang. He knew that Caleb will be the winner of the last election and that he was going to be declared officially, on the 20th day of same Month as the elected Governor of the State. He knew Caleb will be sworn in and today, by the Grace of the God of Plateau people, His Excellency, Hon. Barr Caleb Mutfwang is exactly 173 days in office.

Going by the blackmails, the unprecedented prejudice that broke up at the run up to the election that produced PLATEAU’s beautiful bride in Caleb Mutfwang and the confessions currently leaking off the mouths of oppositions, it is difficult not to say that if not for God, this 173 days journey of His Excellency’s administration wouldn’t have been possible.

Having juxtaposed the scorpions, the snakes, the traps and the enemies that acted various scripts in order that the wishes and blameless will of the poor masses were truncated and, the products of sleepless nights lining up at this critical stage to ensure that the mandate freely given to the most Charming, attractive and intellectually flexible executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Hon Barr Caleb Mutfwang is carted away, one can authoritatively say that we have nothing to fear except fear itself. The forces against the people at the Courts aren’t strange to us. They’re the same forces we successfully fought during the election. Infact we’ve fought and grounded the deadliest of the snakes, the traps and the scorpions already and therefore, there are no fears not to even wish they should be lessened. The only new thing about these, that we see today is that they recharged a dead battery which won’t last longer from this moment.

Upon Mutfwang’s emergence, he overwhelmingly defeated the opposition, winning the Governorship, alongside 16 House of Assembly members, two senatorial seats, and five House of Representatives seats with no form of controversy, the opposition took recourse in the tribunal seeking an undeserving favourable judgment. So far, however, the judgments have been a mixed bud no doubt and the injustices so far meted on Plateau leaders who is likened to punishing one for no offense at all. It further explains that an innocent dog must forcefully be given a bad name to make it ‘hang-able’. This has attracted interest groups both within and outside the Plateau to express fears over the emerging development, which they said can birth a political crisis if not quickly and rightly managed.

As the Plateau State Governorship Appeal is fixed for judgment, tomorrow, 19th November, 2023, at 12:00PM, it is very much in order to feel disturbed as a result of the previous contradictory judgements, but I enjoin all lovers and well wishers of our great Party, not to put a stop to basking in the euphoria of the tribunal which affirmed the election of His Excellency, Hon Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang. Whatever/however the judgement at the Appeal Court will look like, worries should be discarded as there’s absolutely nothing to fear at this stage of the litigation which is not the final.

No matter what the nocturnal news would say about us, God’s good news should be our ultimate expectation and reality. The enemy is no doubt vicious, but he is not victorious. Therefore, we can sometimes feel afraid, but we don’t have to live afraid. Not for ourselves but for the darling and promising future that His Excellency, Hon. Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has promised Plateau people and is working assiduously to actualize.
