News reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that the Judicial Commission of Enquiry into the activities of the previous administration, which met at the Azi Nyako youth centres Jos, has given Senator Jonah David Jang and his attorney Barr. Sunday Gabriel Odeh an ultimatum to respond to the memo served against his client by Kamdax Nigeria LTD, before Saturday 15th October, 2016.
The decision was taken by the Chairman of the Commission, Justice Stephen Adah due to the counsel’s inability to respond to the memo filed against them. The counsel said they received the memo the previous day, and as a result they were unable to contact their client who is currently in Abuja.
Justice Stephen directed that all the necessary steps be taken in order for the committee to settle the issue as soon as possible. He added that Senator Jang is expected to submit the response of his client as well as appear before the comission on Monday 17th October, 2016 for the hearing.
The commission ordered Plateau Agricultural Service Training Centre and Marketing Limited (ASTC) to submit details of over 98 million naira management fees and money paid to the committee as agreement funds accounting to 300 million naira by Friday, to back their submission.
The Commission further examined the Director, Planning Research and Supply of Education, Dr. Gabriel Danladi Mafulul who disclosed that from 2012, 2013 and 2014, the state government allocated over 25 million naira each to members of the Plateau State House of Assembly for constituency projects which were supervised, and executed by the legislators while the ministry kept records.
Other MDAs who could not submit their complete documents to back their submission include ministry of Health, College of Education Gindiri, Plateau State College of Health Technology Pankshin, Sharia court of Appeal, PLASIEC, SEMA, Ministry of Water Resources and Energy, Plateau Agricultural Mechanization Service Corporation (PAMSCO), Customary Court of Appeal, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology respectively.
