Former Bauchi State Governor, Alhaji Adamu Muazu has enjoined Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State to consolidate on the relative peace that the city of Jos now enjoys by restoring mutual confidence among people of different religions and ethnicity living in the city.

Muazu who noted that some people in certain parts of Jos do not feel comfortable going to some other parts of the same city for security reason asked Jang to reverse the situation and make all residents of Jos feel free to live in and visit all parts of the city.
Muazu who spoke as a guest at an endowment fund raising for a proposed Karl Kumm University by Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) said although the government of Jang has done much for the state, especially with reference to road construction, said the governor still has much to do to make the people of Jos live as one instead of the current situation in which Christians and Muslims live in separate neighbourhoods and have fear in crossing their respective boundaries.
Muazu donated N10 million to the Karl Kumm Endowment Fund to bring to more than N200 million the total sum realised at the launch.

President of COCIN, Reverend Soja Bewarang who expressed gratitude to all donours promised that every kobo of the fund would be used to build the university which he said had received its certificate of incorporation and much had already been done to ensure the university’s take-off.
The new university is named after the late Dr Karl Kumm, the missionary who inspired the establishment of COCIN in 1904 as Sudan United Mission, a name which changed variously to become the COCIN as it is known today.
