The Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) has advised the President Elect General Muhammadu Buhari to implement the recommendations of the National Conference which was conducted by the out-going administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The advice was given by the President of COCIN, Rev. Dachollom Datiri, at the closing ceremony of the Church’s 88th General Church Council, held at its headquarters in Jos, Friday.

Datiri urged government at all levels to endeavour to pay workers their wages, and union leaders to remain approachable and engage in dialogue to resolve their differences.

While congratulating the President-elect, General Bahari and others who won various positions in the recently held general elections and tasked them to deliver on their campaign promises in making the lives of Nigerians better.

The COCIN President condemned the incessant killing of innocent villagers and Christians in Plateau State, most recently in Barkin Ladi, Jos East, Riyom LGAs.

He called on the Federal government to investigate the recent alleged killings and destruction of properties in kadarko, Wase Local Government of State and that of Kurmi in Taraba State by the Military.

Datiri however commended the Nigeria Military for their gallant victory in recovering towns that were hitherto seized by Boko Haram and the rescuing the women and girls from Sambisa forest.
