News reaching ViewPointNigeria from Wase Local Government Area of Plateau indicates that three persons have been reported death while 34 others are currently hospitalised as a result of Cholera outbreak.

The Local Council Interim Chairman, Mr Zakari Abdul stated that diarrhoea and vomiting was noticed amongst the 34 persons in Gumbur area of the council. He added that the Ministry of Health was duly notified in order to contain the pandemic.

The Local Council Interim Chairman, Mr Zakari Abdul stated that diarrhoea and vomiting was noticed amongst the 34 persons in Gumbur area of the council. He added that the Ministry of Health was duly notified in order to contain the pandemic.

Abdul called on people of the council to maintain hygiene in order to contain the disease. He added that vegetables and fruits should be washed and people should wash their hands before touching food.

Plateau State Health Commissioner, Dr Fom Dakwak stated that a medical team has been sent to the area with drugs and other amenities. He said that this is the second time that the council was experiencing the outbreak with previous outbreaks in Gaji and Zak area of the council.
