As a seasoned politician that he is,Barr Henry Soembis Longs,Member-Elect,Pankshin South Constituency,knows quite well the supremacy of party over candidates.This he butresses by commencing his thank-you-tour from the door step of the State APC Chairman, Chief Letep Dabang who happens to come from the constituency.
Flanged by the DG and elders,Longs was accompanied to this all important trip by his teaming constituents who were all smiles-a broad manifestation of solidarity .
Presenting the member elect to the State APC Chairman,the Deputy APC Chairman Pankshin LGA,, Danladi Dagor popularly known as”Buggy”,appreciated God for the mandate and Charged Longs to embrace all and give the people a purposeful representation.
On his part,Henry Longs pledged his loyalty to the party and commitment to the constituency saying he will operate and open door policy,hold regular Town Hall Meetings and constitute a think-tank that will guide him in the delivery of the dividends of democracy.
Chief Dabang,the Masquerade, started by showering accolades on the Campaign DG,Pharm Dagung Haruna Mizim for the show of sportsmanship manifest in his accepting to serve in that capacity despite contesting with Longs in the primaries. He equally thanked the member elect for giving Mizim a free hand in the discharge of his duties.
The renowned political mathematician from Jing went on the appreciate those who followed Soembis on the visit,the majority of whom were the youths.He said better things are coming the way of Pankshin South. He then blessed Henry and chipped a fatherly advice as well.He practically praised the youths by donating two cows for “gashi” as a show of motivation while promising to get them genuinely engaged,as according to him,it is better to teach a child how to fish,than giving him/her fish.The generous political guru did not leave out elders and women but theirs was undisclosed for obvious reasons.
Representatives of elders,women and youths gave their goodwill messages.
