Beautiful Gate Handicapped People center Jos, today donated 10 wheel chairs with food items to school for physically challenged children Sabon Layi Mangu.
The school for physically challenged children was established in 1954 by the then COCIN Missionaries under the auspices of COCIN Hospital and rehabilitation center Mangu.
While presenting the items,Hon. Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan founder and CEO of Beautiful Gate Handicapped People center Jos said he is a product of the school and the school made him where he is today and hence the need to support the students even in this hard times.
He thank God for the lives of the students and also appreciates the teachers for being committed to making impact in the lives of the students.
Chief Ayuba Burki said “it is a thing of joy to come back to where i started my early education to support with the little God has bless me with.”
Burki further encouraged the students to study hard to reciprocate the efforts of their parents and that of their teachers by becoming great people in the society. He said, “there is ability in disability and disability is not the key to death”
The philanthropist also called on Government, Non-Governmental organisations and spirited individuals to come to the aid of the school.
Earlier, Dr. Patience Okereafor, Deputy Medical supretendant, COCIN Hospital and Rehabilitation Center Mangu who spoke on behalf of the Proprietor of the school thank the management of beautiful gate handicapped People Center Jos for their kind gesture . She said, “we can’t thank you enough for what you have done and have been doing to us, it is only God Almighty that can bless you abundantly, we pray that God grant you all your heart desires and bledd all your endeavors”
Similarly, Rhoda John Dabit, assistant Head teacher School for the physically challenged children Sabon Layi Mangu appreciated the visiting team for the support rendered. Rhoda prayed for God’s blessings on Chief Ayuba Burki and his team.
The PTA Chairman of the school, Mr Nuhu Yohana Dachi who was also at the presentation of the items said he has known Ayuba Burki with such a good and kind heart. He called on the school management staff to make judicious use of the food items to ensure that students of the school feeds well. Items donated includes:10 wheel chairs, five 5 bag of maize, 5 bags of Beans, 5 Bags of Garri and 5 Bags of Rice.
